This page discusses the WinMx Shared Files Tab:

First, click on WinMx's Shared Files Tab, the one shown
highlighted in white here:
Once you've clicked on this tab you see the following
options:
Share Folder - Click on this and browse through your
computer to find the folder(s) that contain the file(s) you
want to share on WinMx.
Unshare Folder - To Unshare any folder(s) listed on this
tab, just highlight the folder(s), and choose Unshare Folder
from the tabs at the top or right click the highlighted
folder(s) and choose Unshare Folder from the context menu that
appears.
Refresh - If you add or subtract any file(s) to the shared
folder(s), then you must click Refresh for WinMx to register
the changes.
Shared File Types - If you click on Shared File Types you
will see a window open that looks like this:
Here is where you choose which
type of files you would like to share on WinMx by their file
extension. You can check any of the boxes to include the
file types shown for that item and at the bottom in the text
entry field you can add any additional file type extensions
that you would also like to share. For any file to be
shared on WinMx, its file type extension must be included
here.
Scan for Media - To scan your computer for media to add to
your Shared Folder, click on this tab and you will see the
following window open:
This feature will scan your system
for files listed under the included extensions and include
them in your Shared Folder.

labelled Chat, click the link below or use the side menu to
further navigate the site.
